Testimonial

We used Migae Adventure Travel as the tour operator for our 12-day Bhutan tour in September 2009. The founder of Migae, Mr. Mindu Dorji, though new to the business was enthusiastic and dedicated in providing us a memorable trip to Bhutan. He was especially helpful on the penultimate day of our trip, when the hotel booking done previously was not honoured by the hotel owner, and to Mr. Dorji's credit he arranged for alternative accommodation (of a higher standard) in less than 30 minutes.

He was also kind enough to make/ receive calls to our families in India and inform them of our safety when the earthquake struck Bhutan during our travels (none of us were carrying a cell phone). Overall, Mr. Dorji impressed us as someone who was keen and enthusiastic about providing his clients a value-for-money travel experience and we would recommend other travellers to Bhutan to consider Migae.

Thank you for making my trip so excellent and memorable! My 5-day trip to Bhutan was a good learning experience. I really enjoyed every minute of it. The accomodation was comfortable, food - varied and tasty, driving - very safe. My special thanks to my guide Govinda who taught me a lot about Western Bhutan, its history, people and culture.

Everything was very well organised and I felt very comfortable. For all this wonderful experience I would like to thank Migae Adventure Travel and personally the company's owner Mr. Mindu Dorji, who took care of every single matter and was very helpful indeed.

I will not hesitate to recommend Migae Adventure Travel to everyone, who would like to visit Bhutan. I am really fascinated by Bhutan and definitely come again soon !!!

Have a good weekend!

The beauty of Bhutan (sceneries, forest, mountains, Dzong and Monastery) as well as Bhutanese people hospitality are still stick in my head until now. If I have more time in Bhutan, I would love to spend longer time in Punakha Dzong, Taktsang monastery, Wangdue and Thimpu (nice city)…   much more to see in Dzong & monasteries such as paintings, Thangkas, sculptures…. mingle with monks and observe their activities, ceremony and most important to understand the history of such places.  Wangdue Phodrang is such a nice area … the vegetation is very rich and diverse - with different type pine trees, maple trees & so many others, also nice hills & snow-capped mountains.  Many different kinds of sceneries and landscapes during my journey from Wangdue to Phobjika…. breathtaking view!!   The weather on December was sunny with clear blue sky,  notso chilly but a really nice, fresh air….. I feel blessed with the good weather.  I experienced a
snowfall on several places which has created more excitement on my journey… the winter scenery is just like on postcard.
Bhutan culture is still preserved… this is excellent!!   I found that the Bhutanese people are very stylish - the men wear a "gho" (with stylish leather shoe) and "kira"for women…. really nice!!
Overall I was satisfied with all arrangements provided by Migae Adventure, they even arranged a birthday celebration for me with nice red wine and birthday cake. How could I enjoy Bhutan without them…..
  .
Hotel in Thimpu and Paro... are Best: good food, good service, cozy room. In term of itineraries arranged by Migae Adventure… it's just perfect!!  also the driver (I forgot the name) he's good guy with nice attitude.

Thank you.

Himalayan High Trek in Sanfrancisco arranged a tour for me to Bhutan via Migae Adventure Travel one of the good travel agent I would suggest. The tour was handled promptly and efficiently. Though the proprietor Mr.Mindu Dorji who has years of experience in travel agency in Bhutan didn’t accompany me but all the arrangement was handled professionally. The food, accommodation was excellent and the trekking equipments provided to me during 5 days drukpath trek was excellent.
I would definitely recommend Migae Adventure travel for those people interested to visit Bhutan. Now I know the range of trekking holidays option in Bhutan. The most amazing things that I enjoyed about Bhutan is the environment and the landscape. I am planning to come back with my family in 2011.

In my view the real beauty of Bhutan it is its unspoilt and virgin environment.
My father and I had a very good time getting to know the place and its people, Bhutanese people are very gentile, welcoming and spiritual.

I strongly recommend the experience and encourage to visit the country.I would like to thank Migae Adventure Travel for organising such a wonderful trip to Bhutan.

I visited Bhutan primarily for sightseeing in March 2011. During my short period of stay in Bhutan, Migae Adventure Travel/Mindu managed to make it a successful trip by allowing me to cover all the places in the itinerary and was also able to provide me good accommodation during short notice. Driver was courteous and punctual. All communication and advice via emails were also timely. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I will surely visit again!

Thank You,

Hi Mindu,

Bhutan, was a completely different travel experience I have had in my life. From the time we landed at the airport, I was sure, we are going to have a great time here, and we all 3 were right.
The airport is so different. Bhutan is impressively quiet nation. Migae Adventure Travels tour guide Lal Bahadur was very friendly and caring. I was actually surprised how comfortable they tried to make us during the trip.
We booked our travel except the ticket via Migae travels, and paid half on arrival and the other half at the end of the trip. They were very accommodating with us being as much comfortable as possible. We stayed in Bhutan equivalent 3 star, 4 star and 5 star hotel in Paro, Punaka and Thimpu respectively.
The car was a clean Hyundai Tuscon and tour guide made all the effort possible to match the trip with our interests and the time in hand. Shopping can get expensive.
We visited during non-peak season, and I definitely recommend Migae for a trip in Bhutan.

I still miss the Ema Datshi dish

"When I was planning my Bhutan trip, I contacted a few travel agents in Bhutan and Mindu from Migae Adventure Travel was the quickest to reply and continued to be very responsive throughout my planning process and was very patient in answering all my questions. He even rushed to get me a new visa letter a few days before my trip because I had to get a new passport. Overall, I had a wonderful experience with Mindu and his team. Mindu was also kind enough to meet us during our stay in Thimphu and it was nice to be able to talk to him in person. The tour guide and driver that Mindu arranged for us were both really good and experienced. The road condition in Bhutan isn't always the best and I was glad the driver knew how to handle it well.

I've since recommended his service to a few friends and I hope he will show them how beautiful Bhutan is as I've experienced it. Bhutan is so special and I hope many people will get the chance to see it and soak in the spiritual energy.

Thank you Mindu and I hope to return to Bhutan one day soon!"

Good morning Mindu,
First let me thank you for the very memorable trip to Bhutan. We will certainly plan to return someday to visit the rest of Bhutan. Raju was a very courteous and helpful person. He helped us with the kids and we were happy and would recommend him to any family visiting Bhutan.

1) The hotel at Thimpu, Peaceful Resort was the best one in the full trip. Local food and sightseeing was enjoyed by us.
2) Punaka was a very beautiful place. Unfortunately,at Kingaling, the room offered to us first was totally unacceptable. It was smelly, dingy and without a view. We came to know that another guest who had been offered the same room refused it too. The second room had absolutely no windows and no view. The third room was acceptable. The hotel being under construction was a bit of a hazard for children as balconies were not completed and could  be dangerous. Also since the hotel was under construction, there was a lot of debris in the surrounding. When we visit places of such beauty we do not want to see debris all around. The staff was courteous and helpful.
3) Paro too was very beautiful. Unfortunately the same construction debris was around the hotel. These places are so beautiful, maintaining a small outdoor garden, for a sit out breakfast would be ideal for tourists. The first two rooms shown to us had very small beds and the four of us would not be able to sleep. The third room was acceptable even though the bathroom window had no glass and was very cold in the morning.there was no Internet connection.
4) On the way from Paro to Tigers Nest, we saw some good resorts. We urge you to have a look at those for your future use.
5)As we entered Paro, we saw many farmhouses which impressed us. The one that we stayed at, was not as impressive. The evening before we shifted we checked out the farmhouse and specifically requested for a certain room. But when we reached after a seven hour trek, we were given a very small room and were told no other room was available. There was no view from the window and was very uncomfortable. I did not sleep the full night as the mattress provided was short and my legs were hanging out. It was a room meant for two not four. Again we urge you to explore and find out a better place to stay.
Let me again thank you for all your cooperation and we would not mind giving a positive feedback to any of your prospective clients.

Hope our honest feedback will help you.

Best Wishes,
Jinaz
